Turkish Coffee
- Turkish Coffee Wikipedia article.
This article covers some of the history and basic method of making a Turkish or Greek coffee which involves:- Grinding the beans to fine powder (optionally with cardamom)
- Stirring the grounds (with optional sugar) with cold water in a small pot called an ibrik,
- Bringing the pot slowly to a near-boil temperature so that grounds settle and foam forms on the top.
- Sipping the coffee from a small demitasse and tipping it over onto a saucer so that your fortune may be read by a young fisherman's grandmother.
whats missing from the article is where the beans come from, how they are roasted and the fisherman's grandmother.
